JFE Bars & Shapes places focus on three businesses.
In addition to a “shapes business” and a “reinforcing steel bars business,” which conduct the manufacturing and sale of steel products using scrap metal as the raw material, we also operate a “resource-recycling business” where we reuse waste such as waste batteries as a resource while also utilizing our high technological capability cultivated through electric arc furnace (EAF) refining.
Manufacture and provide steel productsManufactured products will be used as parts of buildings and ships.

Shapes are classified by cross-section shapes into angles, channel beams, H beams, etc. The demand is high, and they are regarded as representative steel products in conjunction with reinforcing steel bars. In addition, shape products are available in a variety of forms, dimensions, and materials such as flat bars and plain round bars.
Reinforcing steel bars are a major material that supports reinforced concrete structures and are widely used in the field of civil engineering and construction. In addition to standard deformed reinforcing bars, this business unit also produces mechanical joints, screw rebars, high-strength shear reinforcements, and others.
This business unit collects waste generated nationwide, such as waste batteries. By providing hot complete fusion during EAF operation, the unit conducts efficient recycling of the metal component and energy.
Billets and Blooms are square bars of steel manufactured from steel scrap.
After the rolling process, they are mainly made into products such as shapes and reinforcing steel bars.
We also sell them to reroll producers.
